For its Endurance and Gravel wheels in this new 1800 line, DT has opted for an angular rim shape to save weight while also increasing durability when the terrain gets a little rougher. A wider inner rim width allows for the use of wider tires and increases comfort on uneven terrain. This also applies to the Aero rims, where the aerodynamic shape — developed in collaboration with Swiss Side — has been adapted for additional comfort through compatibility with wider tires.

Exactly this feeling gives you the DT Swiss E 1800 SPLINE wheels. They are designed for longer rides even on rough roads or even unpaved surfaces. Therefore, the inner width of the rim is wider and perfect to accommodate 28c tires. The wheels offer greater comfort with lower tire pressure, but have slightly higher drag.
