Born in Scotland – Endura's origins and philosophy
Scotland isn't forgiving terrain. Anyone who rides there knows what rain, wind, and rugged trails are all about. That environment has shaped Endura from the very beginning. Since the brand was founded in 1993, its philosophy has remained the same: Build durable products that perform when it matters most. Sustainability is more than a marketing claim. Since autumn 2018, the entire Endura lineup has been PFC-free - ahead of upcoming legal requirements. In 2020, Endura launched the One Million Trees initiative, pledging to plant at least one million trees each year. In its first year alone, 1.3 million mangroves were planted in Maputo Bay, Mozambique. In 2024, Endura achieved B Corp certification, recognizing its high social and environmental standards. World-class athletes such as Danny MacAskill and the Athertons do more than wear Endura - they actively test and help develop its products.
Why riders choose Endura cycling apparel
Drizzle, gusty winds, muddy trails – these are the conditions Endura has been built for for more than 30 years:
- MT500 & ExoShell™: Waterproof 3-layer fabric with outstanding breathability and a fully PFC-free construction.
- Clickfast™ system: Securely connects padded liner shorts to baggy shorts in seconds.
- Extensive lineup: From trail MTB and gravel to road cycling - apparel for every discipline and every kind of weather.
Endura collections for every ride
The Endura lineup is organized by riding discipline and intended use, making it easy to find the right gear for your rides. At the heart of the brand is the MT500 collection, widely regarded as a benchmark for weatherproof MTB apparel. The SingleTrack lineup is built for trail riding and bike parks, while the versatile Hummvee collection combines trail-ready performance with everyday practicality. Gravel cyclists will find lightweight, packable apparel in the GV500 collection, while performance-focused road cyclists can choose from the FS260-Pro and Pro SL ranges. The lineup also includes helmets with Koroyd and MIPS technology, D3O protective gear, plus gloves, socks, and eyewear.

Endura technologies that perform
Endura develops its fabrics, protection systems, and integrated technologies in close collaboration with partners such as D3O, MIPS, and Koroyd. Every material is designed to perform where it matters most - not just in ideal conditions, but in the environments it was built for: Scottish weather, steep trails, and long days in the saddle. Every technology serves a clear purpose: more protection, greater comfort, and less weight.
ExoShell™ – Endura's weather protection technology
ExoShell™ is Endura's family of waterproof, breathable membrane technologies for a wide range of riding conditions - from the daily commute to demanding trail rides. Depending on the construction, the laminates combine reliable weather protection with outstanding breathability, low weight, and excellent packability. All current ExoShell™ fabrics use fluorine-free membranes and PFC-free DWR finishes. Each ExoShell™ technology is optimized for a specific purpose. ExoShell60™ features an ultra-thin membrane for maximum breathability and minimal weight, while ExoShell40™ balances weather protection and all-day comfort for demanding tours and trail riding.
Clickfast™ – Modular shorts system
The Clickfast™ system securely attaches padded liner shorts to baggy shorts with snap fasteners - quick, secure, and hassle-free. Endura baggy shorts with Clickfast compatibility can be paired with any Endura Clickfast liner shorts. That means you can easily adapt your setup - with a chamois for long rides or without one for shorter trail sessions. It's a practical solution for riders who value versatility and flexibility.
Koroyd® – Advanced impact protection
Koroyd consists of thousands of thermally welded copolymer tubes that collapse in a controlled manner on impact, absorbing more energy than conventional EPS foam. Endura has integrated Koroyd into its MT500 helmets since 2017 and became the first helmet brand to use the technology in a fully DH-certified full-face helmet. The open tube structure also improves ventilation, even on long climbs.
D3O® – Flexible protection for MTB
D3O uses non-Newtonian materials that remain soft and flexible during normal riding but instantly stiffen on impact to absorb energy before returning to their original state. In Endura's MT500 protective undershorts, D3O inserts protect the hips, thighs, and tailbone. The result is lightweight, breathable protection that feels less restrictive than traditional body armor while providing reliable impact protection when you need it most.
MIPS – Protection against rotational impacts
MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows 10-15 mm of relative movement during angled impacts. This helps reduce the rotational forces transferred to the brain in certain types of crashes. Endura incorporates MIPS into selected MTB helmets for riders who refuse to compromise on head protection.
