The smaller version of the Vario is both a backpack and a pannier—just like its larger counterpart. One side is equipped with one of the tried-and-true Quick-Lock closure systems, while the other features a comfortable and ergonomic back carry system. The so-called FLAP covers whichever side isn’t currently in use. Simply flipping the flap is all it takes to transform this smart hybrid. An integrated bag in the flap offers an additional way to securely store small items such as a smartphone, key, or wallet. Of course, the smaller version of the Vario is also waterproof and is manufactured with sustainability in mind in Germany.
