This rugged wheelset was specifically designed to meet the demands of e-MTBs and features lightweight alloy rims with an enlarged rim bed and anti-pinch protection, incorporating the latest Mavic technologies.

The right wheel and tire combination can enhance your skills and boost your electric bike’s performance on challenging terrain. The E-Deemax S was designed specifically for electric bikes and features several unique technologies that ensure a smoother ride and more fun on the trail.

Mavic’s patented PFP (Pinch Flat Protection) technology features rims with a wider contact surface at the top of the side wall to significantly reduce the risk of tire cuts and flats. The 30 mm-wide rims allow for lower tire pressure, resulting in better traction and efficient rolling. The patented Fore technology features a fully sealed upper rim bridge, which eliminates the need for rim tape and thus offers the simplest system for mounting and changing tubeless tires.

ISM rim machining removes material from the rim at strategic points to minimize weight without compromising strength, and the Black Shield treatment protects the rims from impacts and scratches. Mavic uses 28 straight-pull spokes (all of the same length) for a strong connection between the rim and hub, which features the extremely reliable ID360 double-ratchet system for quick engagement and acceleration.

Maxtal aluminum alloy

Lightweight and rigid. This special aluminum alloy, exclusive to Mavic, offers a better strength-to-weight ratio than the conventional 6106 alloy.

Instant Drive 360 freewheel technology

The Instant Drive 360 freehub system is ultra-lightweight and efficient. A large, non-contact rubber seal ensures low friction, while a wide range of end caps makes it extremely versatile.

UST tubeless technology

Traction and control. Universal standard for tubeless. Ready-to-ride tubeless system. The UST concept improves traction, control, and comfort while reducing inertia and the risk of flat tires.

SUP Welding Technology

Soudé-Usiné process, stronger and smoother joint. After bending, the rim joint is welded using an electric arc. The weld seam is then milled to create a smooth surface.

Infinity Hub Design

Efficient power transmission thanks to optimized contactless spoke lacing (no noise under load) and stress distribution. The spoke lengths are identical at the front and rear. Maintenance is easy thanks to a tool-free solution.

QRM Automatic Bearing Preload

The cartridge bearings are double-sealed. Their preload is automatically adjusted to guarantee smooth, play-free operation over long distances.

Fore Technology

Stiffer and more stable. Instead of being drilled, the lower rim flange is pushed up on the inside and threaded so that the spoke nipples can be screwed in directly, while the upper rim flange remains intact.

Black Shield Treatment

This treatment doubles the rim’s lifespan against stone chips and scratches. Super-strong, double-coated rim with a matte finish.
