The Alpine Trail E XR with a Bosch motor is the largest and most powerful model in the Marin bike family. With 170 mm of front travel, 160 mm of MultiTrac LT 2 rear suspension, and a Bosch CX drive system at its core, the Alpine Trail E XR is specifically designed for riders who tackle the steepest and most technical trails and need maximum range for long days in the mountains.

Thanks to the integrated flip chips, the adjustable headset, and a retrofittable 29-inch rear wheel, riders of the Alpine Trail aluminum model can choose from 12 unique configurations. These configurations allow for optimal fine-tuning of the suspension to the respective trail conditions.

The flip chips can be easily adjusted right on the trail using a 6-mm Allen wrench; they require no additional parts and feature laser-engraved markings that indicate the chips’ position. The standard 27.5-inch rear wheel can be replaced with a 29-inch rear wheel (not included in the scope of delivery) upon request, though the position of the flip chips on the seat stays must be adjusted at the same time.

In addition, the flip chips attached to the seat stay pivot points adjust the bottom bracket height and chain stay length (“low bottom bracket/long chain stay” setting = 345/442 mm, “high bottom bracket/short chain stay” setting = 352/435 mm), allowing riders to perfectly tailor their bike to the terrain they want to tackle.
