Campagnolo Record X Crank - Carbon | Ultra Torque | 1x13-speed | Powermeter

Record 13 – From The Same Stone

The relationship between material and intention has shaped Italian craftsmanship for centuries. Just as stone gives Italy’s cities and roads their architecture and structure, the Record 13 platform, in keeping with this philosophy, defines a new generation of performance. Building on the technical foundation of the 13-speed drivetrain components introduced with the Super Record series, Campagnolo is expanding its portfolio to reach a wider range of athletes. However, the core aspects remain unchanged: fast and precise shifting, consistent braking control and seamless electronic integration. And all of this is tailored to the entire spectrum of modern cycling: road bike, all-road and gravel. Three disciplines. One vision.

Campagnolo Record X powermeter crank

With its structural stiffness, mechanical efficiency and functional aerodynamics, the crank from the Record X series forms the beating heart of a modular drivetrain system that delivers top performance on any gravel terrain and under all conditions. Added to this are a low weight and the unmistakable aesthetics for which Campagnolo is known. By the use of visible carbon, the crank arms not only reflect the iconic design but also offer a precise ergonomic and biomechanical fit thanks to various lengths available. The exterior appearance is rounded out by the special “Record X” branding which embodies both the attention to detail and the craftsmanship of the brand from Vicenza.

Firmly connected to the crank arms are the proven Ultra-Torque half-shafts which ensure more direct power transmission, thereby minimizing energy loss and maximizing efficiency. In addition, the length of the ASTM2-certified steel half-shafts has been revised (47.5 mm chain line with a 152 mm Q-factor) to optimize compatibility with gravel frames and provide greater tire clearance. Also the wide range of chainring options from 38 to 52 teeth (Aero, not included), is designed to cover virtually every style of gravel sports, from adventure to professional high-speed racing.

In the powermeter version, 8 strain gauges and an integrated gyroscope enable performance data to be recorded with a certified accuracy of +/- 2 %. With the CPM system (Campagnolo Power Meter), every watt can be monitored in real time on the cycling computer or via the MyCampy app. The powermeter is attached directly on the axle and only records the torque. Influences caused by the natural flex of the crank arms are excluded in this way. The result is extremely precise and reliable data transmission. The charge status is not only easy to check using the integrated LED display, but can also be read out in the app or on the cycling computer. Meanwhile the magnetic quick-snap charging system, which is used the entire Super Record platform, ensures the power supply of the integrated lithium-ion battery.

Features of the Record X powermeter crank:

  • lightweight and elegant: high-quality crankarms made of UD carbon fiber
  • durability and maximum stiffness for optimal power transmission: durable Ultra Torque™ steel crankshaft (ASTM2-certified)
  • dimensions optimized for gravel frames: 47.5 mm chain line and 152 mm Q-factor
  • modular design and compatibility with a wide variety of chainrings
  • CPM system (Campagnolo Power Meter) with 8 strain gauges and gyroscope for highest precision (+/- 2 %)
  • real-time monitoring of data (power, battery level, settings) via cycling computer or the MyCampy app
  • fast and consistent charging via cable with a magnetic quick-snap connection
  • weight: approx. 717 g (172.5 mm, with Aero chainring, 40 teeth; manufacturer information)

Ultra Torque™ | The system, which uses two shaft halves that are inseparably connected to the respective crank arm, has nothing to fear from a comparison with an integral crankshaft in terms of torque transmission. A single oversize bolt ensures a firm connection, which also facilitates assembly. A larger diameter and the bearings located outside the bottom bracket shell, which allow for an increased support width, also make the entire construction stiffer. The Hirth spur gearing, which originates from engine construction, also benefits torsional rigidity and gives the Ultra Torque™ crankshaft self-aligning properties.

Scope of supply:

1 pair of crank arms with CPM system and integrated half shafts (without chainring and bottom bracket)

Important note: Compatible exclusively with QCK-Tech bottom bracket cups.
