Record 13 – From The Same Stone

The relationship between material and intention has shaped Italian craftsmanship for centuries. Just as stone gives Italy’s cities and roads their architecture and structure, the Record 13 platform, in keeping with this philosophy, defines a new generation of performance. Building on the technical foundation of the 13-speed drivetrain components introduced with the Super Record series, Campagnolo is expanding its portfolio to reach a wider range of athletes. However, the core aspects remain unchanged: fast and precise shifting, consistent braking control and seamless electronic integration. And all of this is tailored to the entire spectrum of modern cycling: road bike, all-road and gravel. Three disciplines. One vision.

Campagnolo Record 13 brake/shift lever

To ensure maximum customization, efficiency and comfort, the Ergopower levers in the Record 13 series are modeled after the Super Record 13 models in both design and structure. Ergonomics and functionality merge to give the rider full control over the bicycle. The special geometry is designed to enable full control in any position. Or, to put it another way: instant access to shifting functions without ever having to take your hands off the handlebar. While the wide, flat grip surface ensures a secure hold even after many hours on the saddle, the brake lever blade prevents interference with the fingers. At the same time, the optimized pivot point guarantees powerful and modulated braking performance.

For gear changes, the rider is offered a selection of shifters that can all be freely configured using the MyCampy app. In addition to a shift lever which is located directly behind the brake lever blade and enables even more natural and responsive shifting operations, the Ergopower unit also features the proven “thumb shifter”. This is integrated into the main body of the grip and positioned so that it can be easily reached from any hand position. The shifting system is rounded out by the so-called “smart button.” Also located on the inside of the grip body, this button performs the rider’s preferred function, ranging from shift management to controlling the cycling computer or compatible Bluetooth devices. Information such as battery charge level, connectivity and configuration steps can be monitored via an integrated LED or displayed through compatible apps and devices. The aesthetic design of the brake/shift lever is rounded out by the “Record” branding on the brake lever blade as well as the laser-engraved brand logo featuring the “winged wheel” on the inside.
