Consistently developed for comfortable as well as safe movement and created with the aim of offering more versatility for the most diverse types of bikes. The experience-oriented CUES series combines incredibly smooth and stress-free shifting behavior with durability suitable for E-Bike use and up to three times greater longevity thanks to LinkGlide technology. With the U4030 components, Shimano is expanding the CUES family to offer riders another comfortable and at the same time low-maintenance option for use on road and gravel bikes.

Noticeably more control for ambitious recreational athletes. The dual-control levers of the CUES U4030 series incorporate the modern features of the 105 models. The results of intensive research into different hand shapes are reflected in an optimized design that features a shorter reach and a correspondingly improved positioning of the brake lever blade. Typical of Shimano, this is complemented by reliable braking performance and smooth, intuitive shifting – ideal for extended road and gravel rides.

The hydraulic Flatmount brake caliper of the Shimano CUES series was specifically developed for a brake disc diameter of 160 mm. This is accompanied by an integrated design that makes an additional adapter superfluous. With its slim and lightweight 2-piston construction, the BR-U6030 brake caliper ensures reliable braking performance in all conditions.

J-Kit (Easy Hose Joint System) | For brake systems with J-Kit brake hose connection, the brake lever has an integrated squeeze seal (olive), which makes the installation and removal of the brake line much easier overall.

Dual Control Lever (DCL) | The Shimano DCL levers combine braking and shifting functions in one control unit for easy as well as comfortable operation. In raising the standard of performance, their innovative ergonomics are even more important to consider than adding additional gearing. However, the highlight of the STI shifters (Shimano Total Integration) shifters, is the ability to change gears front and rear with just one finger. The Dual Control levers owe this not only to an extremely precise and smooth operation, but also to the same stability for which Shimano's MTB technologies are already known.
