The project began with a blank sheet of paper in Castelli’s research and development department and an intriguing question: “What does today’s cyclist really need to perform at their best in cold weather conditions?” We challenged our partner Polartec® to think outside the box, and together we developed a material technology that puts today’s cyclist at the center. Polartec® AirCore™—the revolutionary, PFAS-free, electrospun, semi-breathable membrane—protects cyclists during cool temperatures and the risk of light rain showers.
As part of our ongoing commitment to improvement, we’re introducing the exclusive Polartec® AirCore™ fabric in a new 219-g version, giving the Perfetto 4 even more warmth and protection. The Perfetto jacket has always been instantly recognizable on the road. The signature shoulder strap has been modernized with a transparent chameleon-effect tape that allows the main fabric to show through, giving it a contemporary look. The harder you cycle, the more effectively and efficiently the Polartec® AirCore™ fabric performs, eliminating the need for the signature Perfetto zipper-based ventilation openings.
The Perfetto 4 W jacket features a redesigned, ergonomic splash tail that effectively protects the rider from water spray. As a nostalgic nod to our original Gabba model, we’ve added metal drainage openings to the back pockets. For cyclists striving for maximum performance, the Perfetto 4 W jacket offers the highest level of comfort.

- Reflective Rosso Corsa label on the center bag
- Extended back hem with a reflective strip to protect against splashes from the wheelset
- The membrane and all fabrics are PFAS-free
