The Maxxis Minion DHX was developed to meet the demands of modern downhill trails and offers maximum grip, control, and stability. The completely redesigned tread pattern ensures precise, predictable handling with a smooth transition into lean angles and instills confidence even at high speeds and under heavy loads. The Minion DHX can be used on both the front and rear wheels and combines the rolling speed and braking performance of the DHR II with even greater cornering stability.

Triple Compound (3C) | The most important component of the tire is the rubber compound on the tread. Maxxis' 3C mixtures designed for mountain bikes use a harder base compound and two progressively softer compounds on top for optimum handling in the respective application areas. The side lugs are always softer than the center lugs. Different, individually optimized compounds are used for each area of application.

Downhill Casing DH2 | A consistent evolution of the previous downhill casing. Tailored to today’s demands on DH tires, the new DH Casing offers a sturdier sidewall with extra sidewall protection, while also providing a more supple tread thanks to a double 120 tpi casing instead of the previous double 60 tpi casing. The new DH casing stands out from the previous version with better rolling performance, enhanced puncture protection, and the same weight.

Tubeless Ready (TR) | Tires without tube have many advantages. Riding with less air pressure improves traction and rolling resistance is also lower than with inner tubes. In addition, the risk of punctures is significantly reduced by using a sealant instead of an inner tube, as small holes are immediately sealed again.
