One of the main reasons the XX Eagle Transmission drivetrain offers excellent shifting performance even under load is the perfectly matched T-Type cassette. The cassette and rear derailleur of the XX Eagle series are designed as integrated and interdependent drivetrain components that mesh directly with one another, ensuring perfect alignment on every bike.

The harder the rider pedals, the more the Full X-SYNC™ tooth design of the XS-1297 cassette demonstrates its potential, improving shifting performance accordingly. Thanks to the large 52-tooth pinion, the 12-speed cassette not only achieves an impressive gear ratio range of 520%, but is also significantly more durable and precise. This is due to a lower chain angle across the entire range. The X-DOME™ construction of the sprocket unit (gears 4 through 12) also contributes to durability, while the optimized gear spacing in the lower range ensures smoother shifting.

X-SYNC™ | The sophisticated tooth design with high, square corners ensures maximum performance and durability. Not only does the narrow, sharp tooth profile engage the chain earlier than teeth with the traditional triangular shape, but the rounded beveled edges also support the chain guide. To further withstand harsh conditions, X-SYNC™ chainrings feature mud-repellent recesses that protect the chain links and rollers from dirt.

X-DOME™ | The one-piece construction of X-DOME™ technology results in incredibly lightweight, precise, and robust cassettes. The open design not only repels dirt more effectively, but also gives the component a longer service life and smoother shifting performance.
