Reach Adjustment

The fit and ergonomics of the brake lever are a very personal matter. Riders have individual positioning preferences as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. With the reach adjustment, the lever can be easily customized—for maximum control with just one finger.

DOT 5.1™

Heat is the enemy of any braking system. Better heat management also makes your ride significantly safer. SRAM has found that DOT 5.1 has a length of three times as long as DOT 4 before it reaches its boiling point. This ensures smooth and consistent braking power under even more extreme conditions.

EXACT ACTUATION™

When we first introduced our road bike technologies, we once again relied on our proven SRAM mtb 1:1 gear ratio (shift cable travel : derailleur movement) for the 10-speed groupset. Exact Actuation helps create a simpler and more stable balance between derailleur hanger design, tight sprocket spacing, and precise cable tension. The result: a shifting system that’s incredibly easy to use.
