SmartWool Second Cut Cuff Beanie - 001 black

Designed with circular principles in mind, this beanie uses Second Cut™ yarn - utilizing a mix of 50% recycled fibers from a combination of Smartwool's sock take-back program, canister waste and 50% virgin Merino wool. The Merino content helps regulate temperature, manage moisture, and resist odor, making this cuffed beanie perfect for cold‑weather commutes, après adventures, or everyday winter wear.

Composition: 38% merino wool, 43% unknown fiber content/blend, 18% polyamide, 1% spandex

This sock is part of SmartWool’s innovative Second Cut™ project. In this project, old socks are collected, shredded, and turned into new ones. The new yarn consists of 50% sock waste and 50% new merino wool. The “unknown blend” refers to the sock waste. Since a wide variety of socks are combined here, it is not readily possible to determine the exact fiber content, and even if it were, the composition would not be consistent.
