Made from precision-machined 4140 steel, the BBT-179 is a high-performance tool for removing and installing select threaded bottom brackets with a 12-notch tool holder, including SRAM® BSA DUB®, Race Face® Cinch®, Rotor® BSA30, and others. The BBT-179 is designed to be compatible with any bottom bracket featuring the corresponding tool holder. It features an extra-deep body for particularly wide axles and flat walls at the engagement point for recessed lockrings. The BBT-179 offers three tool engagement options—a 3/8" drive, a 1" hex, and 36-mm wrench flats—so you can loosen even the most stubborn bottom bracket shells. For added stability, the BBT-179 features integrated threads for use with the Park Tool BBT-RS Bottom Bracket Tool Retention System or the GPS-1 guide pins (each sold separately).
Compatible with 12-notch threaded connections on bottom brackets with a major diameter (outside the notches) of 45–47 mm and a minor diameter (inside the notches) of 44 mm, including:
