Are you looking for a lightweight, precise hub for carbon spokes? Then the Nano CS is worth a look. The Nano CS hub was developed specifically for carbon spokes. It combines the low weight of the Tune Nano platform with a patented hub body design that keeps carbon spokes straight.

Why is this important? Unlike traditional steel spokes, carbon spokes hardly bend at all. This means that the spoke hole in the hub body must be aligned extremely precisely with the rim hole so that the spoke can run straight and without unwanted tension.

In theory, every rim geometry would require its own special hub body. In practice, however, many manufacturers make compromises, which can result in carbon spokes not running 100% straight. Tune’s patented solution uses a ball-milled spoke hole, allowing the spoke to align well with the rim. The result: straight spokes, reduced tension, and a more precise connection between the hub, spoke, and rim.

A practical advantage: Nano CS remains highly versatile. It is compatible with almost all standard rims. 20-inch and 24-inch rims are not supported, and in the road bike sector, rims with a height of approximately 65 mm or more may pose problems depending on the offset. There is no fixed limit for larger wheel sizes—Nano CS is compatible with 32-inch rims, for example.

Version with standard bearings: The Tune STANDARD precision bearings use a special grease for bearings. They have been proven for over 25 years and offer an excellent price-to-performance ratio. The steel ball bearings are characterized by excellent durability. A standard nylon gasket makes them resistant to most weather conditions.
