The modular Fullface Targon helmet is designed for anyone who gives it their all off-road. Whether it’s challenging trails, steep drops, or fast sections—in Fullface mode, it offers the protection you need, even when things get tough. Ideal for the bike park, vacation, or your local trails!

And when you’re heading uphill?

Simply remove the chin guard to let in more air. You can easily carry the guard on your arm or bike handlebars. Once you reach the top, reattach the chin guard and enjoy full-coverage protection for your head and face on the descent. Thanks to the easy-to-use mechanism of the Speed Latch System, the chin guard can be attached quickly and without clamps or jerking. And practical features like the Vario Pads or the Zoom Rapid Fit adjustment system ensure an optimal fit while riding.

Features of the Abus Targon Helmet

• Lower Edge Protection: A polycarbonate (PC) outer shell covers the lower edge of the helmet and protects against scratches, impacts, and signs of wear
• Zoom™ Rapid Fit adjustment system: Millimeter-precise adjustment of the helmet to the shape of the head via a rotary wheel connected to a thin nylon cord with a steel core—pressing the rotary wheel resets it to its initial position
• Front glasses holder: A designated recess on the front of the helmet to secure glasses in a safe and aerodynamic position while riding
• Goggle-Mount: a designated area under the helmet visor to securely hold Goggles so they don’t slip or fall off
• Speed Latch System™: for quickly attaching the chin strap to the helmet
• Breakaway visor: high-quality visor for protection against sunlight and overhanging branches—thanks to special technology, it detaches in the event of a fall to reduce strain on the neck
• Comfort Padding: Soft padding inserts for optimal comfort, secured inside the helmet with Velcro
• Adjustable cheekpads: cheekpads that can be adjusted to the desired position using a slide-and-lock mechanism for additional protection and a comfortable, secure fit of the Fullface helmet
• Removable, washable padding: can be removed and hand-washed or replaced as needed
• Stitched straps: For optimal aerodynamics, the straps are stitched directly to the helmet, eliminating the need for a strap distributor—this ensures they fit particularly snugly and do not flap while riding
• In-mold process: A manufacturing process in which the inner shock-absorbing material made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) is directly injected into the outer shell made of polycarbonate (PC)—creating a durable and robust bond
• Injection-Molded Carbon: a plastic material reinforced with Carbonfibers that ensures high stability while having a low weight
• Magnetic closure: To allow for one-handed opening of the chin strap even while wearing gloves, the straps are equipped with a high-quality, magnetic FIDLOCK closure

With the innovative Speed Latch System™, you decide. Without the chin strap, it’s a lightweight, well-ventilated half-shell for uphills and tours. With the chin strap, it’s a full-face helmet for extra protection on challenging trails and in the bike park.

Certified for Your Downhill Rides

The Targon meets the ASTM F1952-22 standard, an additional test specifically for downhill helmets. It also features EN 1078 certification for Europe and meets the CPSC standard for the U.S. and Canada. The MIPS version offers you additional protection against rotational forces on technical trails and fast descents.
