In city traffic, a helmet is an essential piece of gear for cyclists. Accidents can happen in the blink of an eye, and if you do take a fall, a bike helmet protects you from serious injury.
With the Pedelec 2.0 MIPS, ABUS offers a bike helmet that meets the high safety standards of city life. Its deep temple area provides the wearer with exceptional protection. In addition, the Pedelec 2.0 MIPS features an integrated rain hood that can be quickly pulled over the helmet at the first sign of rain. The extra-bright, rechargeable light and the interchangeable visor provide additional passive protection.

Features of the ABUS Pedelec 2.0 MIPS helmet

• Lower Edge Protection: An outer shell made of polycarbonate (PC) covers the lower edge of the helmet and protects against scratches, impacts, and signs of wear
• MIPS layer: a thin plastic shell located between the inner padding and the helmet’s energy-absorbing shell to counteract rotational forces during falls
• Reflective sticker: for better visibility in the dark
• Rain protection: A pull-out helmet raincover for protection in inclement weather
• Rechargeable, clip-on taillight: clips onto the back of the helmet for increased visibility—can be charged with a Micro-USB charging cable
• Two different light modes (tail light): Steady for continuous light and Flash for bright, rapid flashes
• Battery life per mode in hours (min.): Depending on weather conditions and usage, the light lasts at least 3.5 hours in steady mode and at least 8 hours in flashing mode
• Rechargeable battery charging time: It takes approximately 1 hour to fully charge the rechargeable battery
• Attachable visor: A visor secured with pins and removable to protect against sunlight
• Flap Divider™: Strap divider for individual adjustment of the straps below the ears—with a clip closure to secure the adjusted position
• Floating Padding: Padding on the inside of the helmet that clicks into place via multiple attachment points, making it more flexible and providing better ventilation and greater comfort
• Removable, Washable Padding: Can be removed and hand-washed or replaced as needed
• Reflective straps: Straps with woven-in reflective material for better visibility in traffic, especially in the dark
• Magnetic closure: To allow for one-handed opening of the chin strap even while wearing gloves, the straps are equipped with a high-quality, magnetic FIDLOCK closure
• In-mold process: A manufacturing process in which the inner cushioning material made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) is directly injected into the outer shell made of polycarbonate (PC)-resulting in a durable and robust bond
