The current generation of Fade hubs combines the quality that Newmen is known for with even greater reliability. To achieve the necessary durability, more material is used at the points subject to the most stress. The result doesn’t add a single extra gram to the weight yet still impresses with its remarkable resistance.

In addition, one of the development goals for the rear wheel models was to achieve the quietest possible freewheel. The means to this end is a particularly large-diameter Fade freewheel system, which is an entirely new development. While the higher diameter reduces the forces acting on the freewheel, it is primarily the innovative tooth profile that contributes to noise reduction. Furthermore, instead of the previous two ratchets, three pawls now operate inside the freewheel mechanism. These are designed to be very short and wide, resulting in a large-surface-area and correspondingly gentler power transmission.
