The aluminum handlebars from the Performance series by Newmen are designed for XC and trail riding. They stand out for their stability, yet still offer a comfortable flex. To ensure riders can stay fully focused on the track, durability and reliability were tested in the company’s in-house testing lab according to standards that far exceed official specifications.

Both Newmen’s proven handlebar geometry and the steeper-than-usual upsweep which is designed to improve wrist position, help to reduce fatigue. Also positive: this adaptation does not require an increase in the backsweep. More aggressive downhill riding postures are possible without causing wrist misalignment. At the same time, comfort is maintained in neutral positions.

VariGrip System (VGS) | The perfect handlebar width for every riding style and trail. Thanks to Newmen’s patented concept, mountain bikers will never have to shorten their handlebar again. Using a threaded section at the end of the handlebar and a corresponding counterpiece in the specially designed grip, the handlebar width can be adjusted with millimeter precision. Again and again, in a matter of seconds. The system is incredibly simple: Loosen the clamp on the grip, adjust the handlebar width using the scale on the handlebar, tighten the clamp on the grip, and ride! To cover all applications and preferences, Newmen offers various handlebar grips tailored to the VariGrip system, which differ in profile, hardness and diameter.
