And they’re technically impressive, too. After all, they feature the same well-engineered and thoroughly tested rim profile found on the higher-end Beskar and Forge wheels. With a generous maximum system weight for each intended use, you can rely on the Performance 30 wheels on any track.

In the Performance Series, the rims are made of durable aluminum 6061 featuring a pin joint construction. Thanks to the profile design familiar from the high-end models, the rims are not only extremely impact-resistant but also comfortable to ride. The 30 mm inner width and flat cross-section ensure a perfect fit with modern MTB tires ranging from 2.3 to 2.6 inches. The result is optimal grip on any terrain. Tried-and-true features are also found in the hubs. Only high-quality bearings are used in the lightweight yet reliable Fade MTB hubs, while the housing is reinforced at critical points with additional material. On the rear hub, three pawls, a newly developed tooth profile as well as an enlarged freewheel diameter ensure optimal, smooth and quiet power transmission. Everything is held together by Sapim’s reliable and easy-to-maintain Straightpull spokes which feature a consistent diameter of 2.0 mm on the Performance 30 wheels. The number of spokes depends on the intended use.

Light, Base, Strong or DH?

To offer the perfect wheel for every riding style, Newmen has developed four rim variants: Light, Base, Strong and DH. While the rim profile remains the same, the wall thickness varies. This allows for weight savings on the front wheel which experiences slightly less stress, while the rear wheel features increased stability. Depending on the intended use, the following combinations are recommended:

• Enduro = Base front wheel + Strong rear wheel
