ALPHA Wheel Bearing – The Heart of It All

Built to convert every pedal stroke into speed. CeramicSpeed has designed the ALPHA hub bearings to spin even more smoothly under load and without any loss of rotational speed, season after season. This is made possible not only by the proven low-friction bearing architecture but also by new bearing races made of hardened stainless steel as well as specially developed seals that operate at low contact pressure. The result of this combination is an even smoother and more durable wheel upgrade.

Each bearing is hand-crafted in Denmark and features the extremely smooth-running CeramicSpeed Class 1 balls made of silicon nitride ceramic. These are precisely matched to the high-gloss-polished bearing cups down to the micrometer and are held in place by a reinforced polyamide cage to ensure precise and stable performance. While CeramicSpeed’s low-viscosity All Round grease minimizes friction, the advanced gaskets are designed not only to reduce rolling resistance but also to protect against dirt and moisture. For consistent performance under real-world conditions.

Professional cycling is the ultimate proving ground for CeramicSpeed products. Accordingly, the ALPHA Wheel Bearings were tested during their development phase by World Tour riders from the Soudal Quick-Step Team as well as by professional gravel athletes under all racing conditions. In further trials, the resulting final bearing design achieved a service life three to five times longer than conventional standard bearings. Thus, the ALPHA hub bearings deliver direct power transmission at consistently high speeds, even over long distances and in every type of discipline: road racing, time trials, triathlon, track racing, cyclocross and mountain biking.
