e-line alpha22 Plug&Ride Turn Signal Box - 1010151110

The turn signal box contains the control electronics for the velorian electric bike turn signal set.

It meets the current requirements of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) for turn signals on motorized two-wheelers and multi-track bikes, as well as the EMC Directive for electric bikes.

The two connection cables, each having a length of approximately 15 cm and running to the front and rear, are equipped with waterproof connectors. The power supply cable, having a length of approximately 150 cm, has no connector

The e-line alpha22 Plug&Ride turn signal box is 91 mm long, 34 mm wide, and 21 mm high. The length is measured across the mounting wings.

The turn signal box’s input voltage range is 6–55 volts DC, making it suitable for a fully charged 48-volt rechargeable battery.
It is not suitable for connection to a hub dynamo.

The electronics in the velorian electric bike turn signal set are reverse-polarity protected; nothing will break if the positive and negative connections are reversed. It simply won’t work.

The system outputs 12 volts for the turn signals.

Cable 1 is a 2-wire cable for power and is connected to the power source on the electric bike. This can be the headlight’s connection cable, a separate connection cable for additional power consumers (as found on many electric bikes), or the battery itself.

Cable 2 is a 3-wire cable and includes the connections for the rear turn signals.

Cable 3 is a 6-wire cable and includes the connections for the front turn signals, the turn signal switch(es), and a status LED.

The turn signal box has a buzzer that makes the flashing audible. The sound is almost like the turn signal click in a car and is just loud enough to hear while riding. If the clicking bothers you, you can turn it off via the turn signal box settings and, alternatively, mount a status LED on the handlebars.

The e-line alpha22 Plug&Ride turn signal box is pin-compatible with its predecessor, the e-line alpha21 turn signal box.
