Details of the Fjällräven Abisko Lite 2 Tent

A compact, sturdy tent for hikers who prioritize keeping their backpack as light as possible. To minimize weight, the tent’s height is slightly lower and the vestibule is intentionally kept compact. Ideal as a compact, lightweight hiking tent during the warmer months of the year, but it can also be used in winter, provided weather conditions aren’t too extreme.

The outer tent is made from Fjällräven’s new high-performance TripleRip nylon. This innovative construction consists of two different fabric weights—20 denier on top and 40 denier on the floor, which is subject to greater wear—to combine high durability with the lightest possible weight. To prevent the inner tent from getting wet during setup, the inner and outer tents can be pitched together. Easy to set up thanks to two color-coded tent poles, generously sized, low-friction pole sleeves, and easily adjustable pole holders. In inclement weather, the tent can also be pitched with a second set of poles (accessories). Six Dyneema guy lines with one-handed operation and integrated reflective thread. Excellent ventilation thanks to large, high-mounted vents of different sizes.

For a good view and maximum air circulation, the outer tent is rolled up at both ends in warm weather. In warm but changeable weather, the door can be secured in a half-open position—an auto-stop function prevents the wind from forcing the zipper open. Fine-mesh netting on all openings prevents even the tiniest insects from entering. A clothesline and mesh bags in the inner tent make it easy to dry gear and keep everything organized and easy to find. Attachment points for the Gear Loft hanging storage system (accessories) are located in the inner tent. Just like all other Fjällräven tents, the Abisko Lite 2 is manufactured entirely without PVC or toxic flame retardants. The impregnation is PFC-free.
