The narrow, tapered mummy shape reduces bulk and weight, making it ideal for fast-paced adventures in cold weather with as little gear as possible. The women’s sleeping bag is slightly shorter, narrower at the shoulders, and slightly wider at the hips than the standard sleeping bag - for enhanced warmth.

The three-layer insulation made from recycled Stratus™ Eco is arranged in an accordion-like pattern - the Solar Ultra mimics the function of down in a lightweight, down-free construction. Rab’s integrated TILT technology not only reduces radiant heat loss but also significantly improves thermal insulation without compromising the sleeping bag’s size, breathability, or weight. The quilted, stretchy inner fabric, along with the lining and insulation, hugs the sleeper more closely, thereby preventing cold spots. Thanks to selective quilting, the insulating lining is connected with as few quilting seams as possible to minimize the risk of cold spots.

It features a ¾-length main zipper with a windproof chamber along its entire length to prevent body heat from escaping, and an adjustable, cozy drawstring heat collar that serves the same purpose. With its durable 20D Atmos™ outer fabric made from recycled polyester, the Solar Ultra is the ultimate synthetic sleeping bag for the mountains or for bike and backpacking trips with minimal gear.
