Maximum Control – Ultimate Speed: The Ergon GDH Team demonstrates just how effective ergonomics can be in a downhill grip. Shape, texture, grip rubber—every detail of the GDH Team has been designed to give you more control and speed. Working closely with two-time Downhill World Champion Vali Höll, as well as Troy Brosnan and Fabien Barel, the Ergon design team has created the best downhill grip you’ve ever ridden. All functional zones are 100% tailored to the demands of hardcore mtb riding and provide maximum relief. From the very first touch, you’ll notice the “locked-in” feeling that makes you one with your bicycle. The grip, with its extra-soft GravityControl Rubber compound, is Made in Germany and SGS-certified to be free of harmful substances.
The ergonomic shape of the GDH team was designed in close collaboration with the fastest gravity athletes to reduce fatigue and loss of control even under heavy loads. Arm pump and loss of strength in the hands and forearms caused by increased pressure in the muscle tissue and fascia can also be reduced.
On the top of the grip, multi-level, multidirectional textured blocks provide optimal damping with maximum control. The interlocking texture structure prevents it from collapsing under pressure, enabling progressive damping that feels pleasantly soft at first but doesn’t give way too much under heavier loads. The asymmetrical design also provides additional damping with more rubber on the top of the grip.
The perfectly contoured finger grip zone on the underside of the grip ensures optimal feel and control, even during the fastest maneuvers. With four individual finger boxes, at an angle to match the hand-arm position typical of racing, you’ll have every situation firmly under control.
The GDH team’s outer stop, ergonomically integrated into the end of the grip, creates slight counterpressure and ensures a secure, “locked-in” hand feel. This provides perfect orientation for the outer hand zone amid constantly changing conditions during extreme gravity riding. The inner stop is an intuitive guide for the inner side of the hand and is designed for precise operation of the shift and brake levers. This allows you to quickly and accurately locate your cockpit at any time, even after you’ve briefly taken your hand off the handlebars.
The GravityControl rubber compound used in the GDH team grip is the softest variant available from Ergon—for optimal vibration damping and superior contact with the grip.
Ergon has combined its ten years of experience from the GE1, GD1 Evo, and GFR1 grip series with the expertise of two-time Downhill World Champion Vali Höll, professional athletes Troy Brosnan and Fabien Barel, and countless other riders to perfect every aspect and detail of the GDH team. The result is the GDH Team, an uncompromising DH race grip for all ambitious racers—right up to the world’s elite.
Design, development, and production—the GDH team is “Made in Germany.” This is how Ergon achieves the highest quality standards in every area of the manufacturing process.
Thanks to the high-strength aluminum internal clamp, the GDH team cannot twist, even on carbon handlebars. For even greater safety on the downhill.
The GDH team’s GravityControl rubber compound meets the highest quality standards and is free of harmful substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBBs, and PBDEs. This is confirmed by SGS certification—it even meets the EU toy safety standard. This is especially important when you’re riding without gloves and sweating.
The GDH team’s replaceable end plugs are exceptionally sturdy, protecting the grip body—so you can spare the grip body if things do go wrong!
