Better performance thanks to reduced pressure on the seat area—the SR Tri Women Front channels your power right where it belongs—onto the road. Together with top triathletes such as Jan Frodeno (three-time Ironman Hawaii and Olympic champion) and Jan Stratmann (3rd place at the 2023 Ironman 70.3 World Championship), Ergon’s development team has created the revolutionary Power Position concept.
Some female riders tend to shift the load in the aero position toward the front of the saddle, requiring a special shape to prevent muscle fatigue and maximize power output. The ergonomically optimized V-shape design of the SR Tri Women Front is specifically engineered for the demands of triathlon. With its short and wide front section, the saddle offers maximum legroom without putting strain on the sensitive perineal area. The short saddle nose allows for micro-movements that ensure optimal pressure distribution over long distances and enables optimal pedaling ergonomics. This effectively prevents fatigue in the back muscles and also relieves the muscle chains you need for running. That means: more power on the bike and a better start to running!
The SR Tri Women’s padding is made of durable Orthopedic Comfort Foam with a 3D-printed insert and is precisely engineered to meet the demands of long-duration triathlon exertion. It’s firm enough to prevent energy loss from overly soft padding, while simultaneously providing sufficient cushioning to effectively reduce strain.
The V-shape of the SR Tri Women Front is specifically designed for female triathletes who tilt their pelvis more forward in the aero position, thereby placing greater stress on the front of the saddle—a need that requires specialized ergonomics for optimal relief.
The forward position allows for a deeper aero posture—the back lies flatter, and the load is primarily on the front of the saddle. This results in correspondingly higher pressure in the genital area, which is relieved by the distinctive V-shape with its short and wide front section.
On all SR Tri saddles, the Biomechanical Reference Line (BMR Line) is marked on the saddle surface. This indicates the saddle’s meridian—the point where the saddle is exactly 75 millimeters wide. The BMR line serves as a reference point for correctly adjusting height, seating position, and tilt, as well as ensuring the correct saddle-nose distance. The BMR line is also a key reference point for precise adjustments in our Fittingbox Road.
The SR Tri Women’s saddle is Made in Europe! This guarantees only the best in workmanship and material quality. The shipping distances are short—and that’s good for you!
