Less fatigue, less arm pump

The ergonomic shape of the GDH team was developed in close collaboration with world-class gravity athletes—led by multiple world champion Vali Höll. The design aims to minimize fatigue even under extreme stress and maintain the highest level of control at all times. Arm pump and loss of strength in the hands and forearms caused by increased pressure in the muscle tissue and fascia can be effectively reduced.

Multidirectional Damping

On the top of the grip, multi-layered texture blocks arranged in different directions provide optimal damping with maximum control. The interlocking structure of this texture prevents it from collapsing under pressure, enabling progressive damping that feels pleasantly soft at first but doesn’t give way too much under heavier loads. The asymmetrical design also provides additional damping with more rubber on the top of the grip. 

Separate Finger Boxes for Maximum Guidance

The perfectly contoured finger grip zone on the underside of the grip ensures optimal grip and superior control, even during the fastest maneuvers. With four clearly defined finger boxes—whose position and angle have been adapted to the hand-arm posture typical of racing—you’ll have every situation firmly under control, just like the multiple world champion.

Inner and Outer Stops – Lock Yourself In

The outer stop on the GDH Team Vali Höll Edition, ergonomically integrated into the end of the grip, applies gentle pressure against the palm and ensures a secure, “locked-in” feel. This provides perfect orientation for the outer part of the hand amid constantly changing conditions during extreme gravity riding. The inner stop is an intuitive positioning tool designed for the thumb-side of the hand and for precise operation of the shift and brake levers. This allows you to quickly and precisely grip your cockpit at any time, even after taking your hand off the handlebars. 

More contact and more grip thanks to an extra-soft rubber compound

The GravityControl rubber compound used in the GDH team grip—including the Vali Höll Edition—is the softest variant available from Ergon, providing optimal vibration damping and superior contact with the grip.

The Saalbach native provided crucial input during the development of the GDH team’s technical features. For the Special Vali Höll Edition of this grip, she was even given free rein to let her creativity run wild. The subtle symbols and pictograms on the clamp ring and one of the end plugs are the same as those on the edition’s downhill saddle. According to Vali, they have no deep psychological meaning. Rather, they represent defining concepts from the life of this exceptional athlete, such as nature, cycling, speed, and her home country of Austria. The large smiley face on the end cap symbolizes the world champion’s relaxed and cheerful attitude.
