Cannondale Mavaro e-bikes at a glance

Both Mavaro e-bikes come with a diamond frame or low step-through frame. The low step-through option carries the LSTH designation, short for Low Step-Thru. Motor assistance, battery capacity and suspension setup vary between the Mavaro 2 and Mavaro 4.

Cannondale Mavaro 2

Steep streets and fully loaded shopping bags are where the Mavaro 2's stronger assistance comes into its own. A HeadShok suspension fork and suspension seatpost take the edge off impacts at the handlebar and saddle.

• Power for climbs: The Bosch Performance Line CX delivers up to 85 Nm of assistance.
• More energy in reserve: The 600 Wh battery offers greater capacity than the Mavaro 4.
• Lock within reach: The U-lock has a dedicated place in the RackLock rear rack.

Cannondale Mavaro 4

The Mavaro 4 pairs smooth Bosch assistance with a comfortable setup for flatter commutes and everyday errands. Its Bosch Active Line Plus draws power from a 500 Wh battery, while the suspension fork and wide tires soften bumps and rough surfaces.

• Smooth assistance: The Bosch Active Line Plus delivers up to 50 Nm of torque.
• Comfort over cobblestones: The SR Suntour fork smooths out impacts with 63 mm of travel.
• Handlebar controls: The Purion 200 combines a color display and control buttons in one unit.

Technology inside the Cannondale Mavaro

The Mavaro pairs Cannondale's own suspension fork design with a chain-free drivetrain and two Bosch drive systems tailored to different riding needs.

Gates belt drive and Shimano Nexus

A carbon belt transfers power to the rear wheel, with an enclosed five-speed Shimano Nexus hub handling the shifting. The belt requires no oil and runs almost silently. The shifting mechanism sits protected inside the hub shell, where road salt has little effect on it. You can also shift into a lower gear while stopped at a red light.

Bosch drive systems

The Performance Line CX Gen. 5 on the Mavaro 2 LSTH delivers 85 Nm and draws power from the PowerTube 600 – useful for steep ramps and riding with heavy bags. The Active Line Plus on the Mavaro 4 delivers a gentler 50 Nm and draws power from the PowerTube 500. Ride information appears on the Kiox 300 or Purion 200.
