Park Tool BBT-118 Bottom Bracket and Lockring Tool

The BBT-118 is made of precision-machined 4140 steel and is a high-performance tool for installing and removing select bicycle components with an octagonal shank. The BBT-118 is designed to be compatible with any bottom bracket that has the appropriate tool shank. It features an extra-deep body for extra-wide spindles and flat walls at the engagement point for recessed lockrings. The BBT-118 offers three methods for engaging the tool—a 3/8" drive, a 1" hex, and 36-mm spline—so you can loosen even the most stubborn components. For added stability, the BBT-118 features integrated threads for use with the Park Tool BBT-RS bottom bracket tool retention system or GPS-1 guide pins (each sold separately).

• Shimano® Octalink® bottom bracket shells on the drive side with external threads
• ISIS Drive bottom bracket shells, including Truvativ® and Bontrager®
• Front chainring retaining ring for Bosch® Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5 electric bikes
• Front chainring lockring for Specialized® Levo Brose electric bikes

Tool specifications:

• 3/8" drive
• 1" and 36 mm wrench openings
• 8 notches with a nominal diameter of 37.6 mm (internal) and 42.7 mm (external)
• Internal spacing: 31.14 mm (1.226") depth (from the tool face) x 22.48 mm (0.885") diameter
• Not suitable for use with impact wrenches
