For fast road rides, the original Sphaera is the first choice. Its large shield lens gives you plenty of coverage, while the flat O Matter half-rim keeps frame edges out of your line of sight. A central vent directs air behind the lens. Oakley classifies it as a Wide - High Bridge Fit.
Oakley Sphaera Slash for more room around your cheekbones
Want more room around your cheekbones? The Sphaera Slash uses its own lens shape with a cutaway lower edge that creates more space in this area. A front vent improves air circulation behind the lens, while the angular shape gives the Slash its distinctive look.
Oakley Sphaera Strike for a slimmer silhouette
Prefer a slimmer look? The Strike brings the Sphaera's wide field of view to a narrower frame. Its straighter silhouette and broad fit work just as well for sports as they do for everyday wear. Lens options range from Prizm Road to Prizm Trail Torch.

The lenses provide full UV protection up to 400 nanometers, while Oakley tests its eyewear for high-mass, high-velocity impact resistance. Prizm lens technology for enhanced contrast
Prizm does more than simply tint the view. Oakley dampens specific wavelengths and boosts others to bring out contrast where your eyes need it. Prizm Road heightens contrast on the road, while Prizm Trail Torch brings out browns and reds so you can pick out transitions, obstacles and changing surfaces more easily. For changing light, there's also a photochromic version.
O Matter – lightweight comfort that lasts
Oakley's lightweight, durable O Matter frame material is designed for all-day comfort. On the Sphaera, the half-rim sits above the lens and incorporates a vent that channels air behind it – particularly useful on slow climbs with less airflow. The flat frame design also makes the Sphaera easy to wear with a helmet or cap.
Unobtainium – more grip when you sweat
Sweat shouldn't mean less grip. Unlike slippery plastics, Unobtainium becomes grippier when moisture is involved. Oakley uses it at the key contact points – the nosepads and molded-in earsocks – to help keep the Sphaera securely in place as you sweat. The molded-in earsocks are also designed to be worn with a helmet or cap.

Will the Oakley Sphaera fit under my bike helmet?
The lightweight O Matter frame and molded-in earsocks are designed to be worn with bike helmets. The exact fit and any potential pressure points depend on your helmet and head shape. If you use an aero helmet with a low front, try the glasses with your helmet at home to check the fit.
Are there replacement lenses for the Oakley Sphaera?
For the Sphaera Slash, we carry a replacement lens in Prizm Road Jade, so you can use the same frame with a second tint. Make sure the replacement lens matches your model, as the original Sphaera, Slash and Strike use different lens shapes.
Is the Oakley Sphaera also available with photochromic lenses?
